I am a qualified Extra Lesson® practitioner, an independent support worker and reiki therapist.

I have worked in Early Childhood education since 2011, both as a family day carer and a preschool co-educator. Working with children with many different needs over the years sparked my interest to pursue further education in order to understand underlying issues and to be able to help more children, in particular those that are neurodivergent.  This interest led to me undertaking the Extra Lesson training program to become a professionally trained practitioner. Since then I have transitioned to becoming an independent support worker, allowing me to use my passion for helping others in a wider range of settings.

I have also undertaken extra studies in healing trauma and trauma informed practice, strategies for students with autism, creative yoga and mindfulness for children, nature-based play, and respectful relationships.

I believe in building a strong connection and relationship with each client so that they feel a strong sense of belonging and safety. I bring empathy, kindness and compassion to create a space where all human beings can thrive. When working with children, I bring a sense of playfulness and creativity that allows each individual to develop in their own time, based on their own strengths and interests.

When I’m not working, I love to spend as much time in nature as time allows – whether it’s going camping with my family, hiking, swimming or gardening. I live in a great community where I get to enjoy connection with friends, live music and dancing in many forms!

I feel grateful to live, work and play on beautiful Dja Dja Wurrung land. I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture. I pay my respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and their elders past and present.
